My wife wants to put a forum on her website and I have been given the job. I was wondering if anybody could recommend any sites that provide this service for free. I don't mind some on-screen advertising but no pop-ups is preferred. Also something relatively easy for a beginner to manage.
Many thanks,
Mr & Mrs Humph

Proboards or Hyperboards would probably do the job you're after... not sure if they have pop ups but they're easy to use and configure.0

Thank you for your responses - decided to go for ProBoards. Nice and easy to set up - I have the wife busy now creating categories and adding boards. I'll sit back and do some research about how to personalise the forum.
Once again many thanks.Mr. Corleone is a man who insists on hearing bad news immediately0 -
of the free services proboards is by FAR AND FAR the best.. they're sponsered by google adwords - NO POPUPs and a good service..
however - if you have any spare web space with php access + a my sql database free I recommend you install your own messageboard - eg phpBB0
