Victorinox Swiss Army Knife - Only £1 (and some free mags)

http://www.subscription.co.uk/ca

Computeractive offer - 3 issues for £1 + a free gift: a Victorinox Swiss Made and Original Branded Army Pen Knife (allegedly worth £12.95). Knife looks like this one:

Use the above link, quote source code 7304, select 713 from the drop-down menu and choose direct debit (you can choose credit card but I wouldn't recommend it - DD is far easier to cancel and it's under your control).

First DD will be £1, get the 3 mags and knife and cancel before the next DD is to be drawn. They ask that you write to them "within 1 week of receipt of the 3rd issue to cancel the subscription and you will pay no more than the £1 already debited" but I just cancel the DD at my bank and find that usually suffices.

You can also ring on 01858 438 870. The offer is in a mailshot I received today.

Crikey - who do you bank with? I thought no banks (other than the Northern Ireland ones) charged for DDs these days! If you're looking for a better bank that doesn't have these charges, I can recommend Smile. Or Cahoot - there's £10 available when you open one of their accounts, details here.

Yes - you can always ring them to make absolutely sure but the codes I've given are correct. If you do ring, perhaps you can post back here for the benefit of others?

johnllew, Thanks for your tips. I have gone ahead and subscribed and will cancel after receipt of knife + 3rd issue. To cancel, I will write to them together with cancelling the dd with my bank. Can you kindly give me their postal address that came in the mailshot?

    Many thanks.
