I had the infamous Southern Electric Salesforce knocking at my door this week.Apart from the usual pitch about cheaper energy,they are now pushing their phone service claiming its the greatest thing since sliced thread. I was not fooled having read articles on this site,but less well informed people might be.

And beware because they're not offering a CPS service - their packages all require you to take their line rental too (at a massive saving of 26p per month).
Their website is very short on detail (no list of call charges that I can find) but, for what it's worth:
Southern Electric Talk Evening/Weekend package (E&W UK 01/02 calls of up to 70 minutes each included) - £13.44 per month (includes their line rental).
Primus Saver Option 2 CPS package (E&W UK 01/02 calls of up to 90 minutes included) - £0.00 per month plus £10.75 BT line rental.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
