Child Maintenance (CSA) questions (merged)

Could anyone advise me on this situation: my husband has been trying to get his CSA payment to his eldest son stopped for 1 year since the son left home and secured a well paid job at 17 years of age. Of course, the CSA are impenetrable, unhelpful and the money still gets taken out of his wage each month. DOES THE MOTHER HAVE ANY LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY TO INFORM THE CSA and if she does what could be the legal come back on her for accepting the money for 12 months.
