I voted no change - the no change vote last time was pretty decisive and we already know that fuel price changes in the last year are going to be a downward force on the CPI.
The main thing that could screw up my prediction I think, would be an event that causes a rise in fuel prices again (e.g. Russia or Iran turning off the taps).0 -
Their should be a rise but I doubt it'll happen in March, as they will do the "wait and see" approach. They should have risen them in February, but they are rubbish at their jobs so didn't.0

I voted for a rise, but I'm hoping they will stay the same.0

Isn't their job to keep the CPI in the range 1-3%? The MPC seem to be doing pretty well at that.0 -
No change.0

Their jobs is to keep it @ or around 2% (1 & 3% is where they'd have to write to gordon brown to explain whats going on) obviously its impossible to keep it exactly at 2% but thats the aim. FYI 0.5% under the 2% is as bad as 0.5% over 2%Money, Money, Money ..... Banks/Casinos/Bookies give me all you money its a poor mans world....0

Yes it is, and it's still way above that, although CPI could start droping due to reduced fuel and energy costs, Pay settlements are going up though which is the last thing the BoE want to see! They'll be another 0.25% rise by June, after that who knows?0 -
The BoE fan chart thingy shows the most likely thing for them is for inflation to fall rapdily - that implies a rate cut if anything.0
