British Gas Fines for leaving

It was certainly announced on the BBC news programme I saw. At the moment it only affects those on Price Protection April 2009. PP2007 and PP2010 are still cheaper than new BG Standard Tariff, and any other currently available tariff.0

so technically speaking if someone was to leave a 2010 price fix now, would they get charged?0

Also you would be crazy to come of PP 2007 or 2010
Even if they don't waive the cancellation fee, it's very easy to get round anyway... read your t&c carefully

It was higher than that for PP2010 and reduced on a sliding scale.
£45/30 until 30/4/2008, reducing to £30/20 30/4/09 then £20/15.
I have little doubt BG would waive those charges as other gas/electricity still costs more.0
