im going to a big family wedding on saturday, and really need to do something about my mane.
i have very thick, wavy hair which i want washed, blowdryed, cut and straightened. the woman i used to go to was fab, but she's unavailable as she's on maternity leave at the mo.
i never used to pay more than £30, so would like to stay as close to that as possible. can anyone recommend a salon or traveling hairdresser which can turn my mop into something respectable?

I always have my hair done by Gentleman Jim's just by the Paget rooms in Penarth. I've got thick wavy hair too and they can always make me look nice whther I want it up or down. Also it's nice and cheap! Ask for Helen for down hair and Cherie for up do's, they're fab!
I just read your post again - they'll charge no more than £22 for what you wantTotal abstinence is so excellent a thing that it cannot be carried to too great an extent. In my passion for it I even carry it so far as to totally abstain from total abstinence itself. Oscar Wilde0 -

i decided to push the boat out and treat myself to a chop at toni and guy, went for a middle of the range stylist, and it only cost £10 more than i would normally pay.
