Free 1 month £7.99 trial code for Diet Freedom

Options
What's the deal

Diet Freedom is health, nutrition, weight loss and weight loss management website. I've no idea if it's any good, and this ISN'T a recommendation, yet I was nobbled by its MD whilst on the tube and offered a code for MoneySavers to get a free month's membership (worth £7.99). As the website is legitimate and it doesn't require you to enter your credit card details for the trial, I thought it was worth letting people try

How can I get one?

Go to the website and enter the promotional code DF1EM when you register. The advantage of this trial is it's a one month trial without giving your credit card details, so no money will be taken if you dont want to continue - as to continue you'll need to actively pay the subscription - so if you don't want to continue, just forget about it and you won't be charged.

Any other alternatives.

It's also worth taking a peek at Anne Diamond's Fat Happens which is rapidly growing in popularity and of course the great 'debt free and fat free wannabee' discussion here

What does the membership include?

As well as the free info on the site it's membership states the following
  • A recipe database that focuses on eating a low GL (Glycaemic Load) diet
  • Active forums to be able to chat to the Diet Freedom team and other users
  • An 'Ask the Dietician' service to receive a confidential, direct, individual reply to your specific questions
  • Special offers and discounts on services such as ‘one to one’ consultations with a dietitian

remember to cancel membership after a month if you don't want to continue as you will be charged/invoiced if you dont cancel the membership read the terms and conditions when signing up
  • Hi

I am Joint MD at https://www.dietfreedom.co.uk and after having tons (!) of people join our free health and diet trial last night saying they found out about it on here I thought I would take a look. Thanks Martin for the link, it was me who collared you on the tube! I imagine that happens a lot. Just to confirm re: previous post that it is a genuine, no obligation offer and we don't ask for credit cards upfront and we certainly won't be invoicing anyone! We hate sites that do this and refuse to sign up to them ourselves. Instead we hope that you like what you see in the first month and decide to stay with us and pay £7.99 a month. We just email you when the trial is nearly over and ask if you would like to stay. If you do - then you simply fill in a form to pay via wordpay monthly and you can cancel at any time of course. Hope I haven't broken any commercial rules by posting this just wanted to clarify that the offer is a genuine, no obligation one. Thanks Tina

Nice tip - must be worth giving it a whirl, so I just signed up.

NB - when you put the code in and click verify, the charging information DISAPPEARS, making it very clear that the trial is free.

Tinatwo - you either don't know how many people subscribe to the mse e-mail, and will now be inundated OR you do know, and have made a very shrewd business move!! Good luck either way....

    Chris.
If I've made a grammatical error and you're pointing it out, I'd just like to say :T "Thanks" in advance. You big person, you ;)
  • Thanks Chris

A good point you raised above. I have been a fan of Martin for some time, after seeing him on TV and was aware of this web site but had never been on the forums. So after he kindly told you all on here about our 1 month free offer we were, and still are inundated (!) which is why I came on here to have a look to see where everyone was coming from! So, yes, now I DO know how many people are signed up - it is incredible and all credit to Martin, we definitely need a consumer champion these days if you ask me. The reason I did the post was just to reassure people that the offer is genuine. I hope you enjoy your free trial BTW - do try out our forums too - some lovely folk on there and it's very supportive. We have a recommendations page on our site and I will definitely now be adding this site to let our own members know about it - some great offers and information here - and so active - it's amazing! Thanks again, for your best wishes

I hope I'm not upsetting anyone, but I'd like to recommend https://www.caloriesperhour.com (which has a commitment to remaining free to use). It does not specifically promote the GL diet - rather, it aims to support you on your fat-loss or healthy-eating journey, whichever approach you take. I've been using their FORUMS for just over a year.

I guess, as the website is ALWAYS free, it doesn't sound that much of a bargain.

  • Free scientific advice here on how to be slim the new BBC Series "The Truth About Food."

Watch the video and get a few new insights (soup!haha) into losing weight.

No gimmicks free trials or any other rubbish ..promise

    From the BBC website

"Ours is a world where it seems everyone is on, just finished, or about to start, a diet. The only really successful way to become slim is to change our lifestyle: to do more exercise and eat well. We explored some of the biggest dieting myths."

Another alternative free to use site (ad supported) if you're looking for one is sparkpeople.com - I've been using it for over a year and have found it very helpful. The recipes and foodtracking I don't find so useful, as its an American site, but the articles, forums and weight-tracking are all great and I approve of the non-gimmicky ethos of eating in moderation and exercise. You start by taking small healthy-eating up steps and gradually build up good habits. I set up my aim as losing 0.5kg a week in August and have lost 2 stone so far and my bmi is now in the overweight rather than obese category, so really pleased.

That coloriesperhour.com site looks interesting too, thanks. Might give this free trial a whirl too to see what extra you get compared with a free site.
:shhh: There's somewhere you can go and get books to read... for free!

  • The Truth About Food BBC series is very good as it is factual and science based, which is also the basis of our diet and healthy eating service at ww.dietfreedom.co.uk.

Our dietician Nigel Denby is a spokesperson for the Britsih Dietetic Association and one of the experts appearing on The Truth About Food. He also appears regularly as the nutrition expert on Trevor McDonald Tonight and Real Story and has helped to expose the danger of trans fats and other unhealthy foods :o)

DG - Re: email address - if you go to our website you will find all our contact details on there. Not sure if I am allowed to post it here? We have had thousands of forum members from here who have taken up our 1 month free trial - thanks to Martin! We hope that they enjoy our service and we will do our best to look after everyone :o)

  • Hi there, just want to say that I did take up this free trial having seen a mention on the diabetic thread (husband diabetic, type 2). I have lost 5lbs in last couple of weeks and husband's blood glucose levels are consistently lower than normal which is what I call a GREAT result :T It is not hard, and is great value for money in my humble opinion. We are a bit strapped for cash currently (handling it better with Martin's tips, am a newbie but learning fast!), but I don't think it's possible to put a price on good health and as my husband has a history of heart disease as well in his family i am convinced this is a really good route for us both to go down (my family history is just a bit lardy ;) ) Thanks for the leap of faith Martin, and thanks Tina for clearing up the 'is it really free' issue - it is. I will be signing up now, as it's even clear that your remaining free days are credited once you've paid. :j Claire
£3k back from Natwest:beer:, approx 29% saved on major debts due to Martin's tarting advice and LOTS more (inc weight loss too! ... Martin's a Marvel:j Long healthy good life, great times, and happiness :rotfl: x
