in Credit cards
Hi guys,
The Sunday Times are writing a piece about the Egg Credit Card, and would like to speak to a consumer who has used Martin's Egg Loophole system for getting 0% Balance Transfers every year.
If anyone is interested in being involved, please PM me and I'll let you know the details.
Cheers
Dan

I used to rave to my friends about Egg being a great credit card to have - it's sad to see times have changed. I've just used my 3rd anniversary 0% on my Egg Credit Card and have been disappointed with their general customer service as well as the way they have changed their policy on fees & fee interest so couldn't wait to close the account - I remember when I first used it there was no transfer fee, let alone interest on it which they have done this time around.
Just have to get rid of my Egg money card now...

I've had an Egg card for years and had never heard of this offer until I read the article here. How will I know when my anniversary comes around and I can take advantage of the 0% balance transfer? I can't remember at what time of year I applied for my Egg card, though I think it might have been in the spring...0

just phone them up and ask what month is your anniversary, if you have been with them ages they might give you some deals anyway, worth a phone call.now proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0

Just phoned them on my 3rd or 4th anniversary and the offer has gone. They still offer 0% but have now got a 2.5% BT Fee - the scissors were deployed and so the card has now gone to the swiping machine in the sky.0

I have similar sentiments. I did the anniversary offer but it is only 5 months and a fair old BT fee which makes is far less attractive. The only advantage is that it has a huge credit limit and doesn't need a new CC application to affect my credit rating.0

I'm suprised by these comments about Egg. I've just had my 5th Anniversary with them and got a 4 month 0% BT deal with no charges. My 'anniversary' date is my birth month (February) and I've done this every year. I did check this year as it used to be advertised on the website (but isn't any longer) but I got a polite and cheery Customer rep who was happy to help. By and large, I trust no banks or credit card providers but, of the lot, I find Egg is best for this type of thing. (Don't buy into their insurance though - but that's another story!)0

Just hope you don't get a nasty surprise in your next statement. As far as I know ther has been a fee since early last year, that's why my Egg card has gone. Good luck.
