Just wondering if anyone has tried making the rice pudding recipe in the Morphy Richards instruction book and if anyone has any other tried and tested dessert recipes for the slow cooker?

have rice pudding in my slow cooker as I type... lovely
I am one of those bung it in and hope for the best currently pudding has sultanas but can also use raisins and for extra special treat soak them first in sherry !!!!!!!!!
try cooking dried fruit with ginger, brown sugar, cinnamon stick or a few cloves and left over white wine or cider scrummy0 -
rice pudding is fantastic, put it on low if you are leaving it all day.
what about macaroni pudding?
I have also used mine to make xmas pudding and a steamed jam pudding.
Bread pudding - I do not make 'bread and butter' pud - too much fat. Break up the bread, mix with egg and milk, sultanas and a bit of sugar and mixed spice, grease the dish, sit back and wait!
Stewed dried fruit - the big stuff, apricots, prunes, apple etc...

I made a tapioca pud the other week. Followed the instructions on the packet for quantities, but it still turned out so thick you could cut it like a cake. Yummy though, just had to 'cut' a portion and heat it with extra milk.:D0

I'm with you Sarah, hate the skin. When I do it in the oven, I cover with foil - could you do the same in the slo-cooker?Only 5% of those who can give blood, actually do!

I found a recipie for crockpot apple pie, I might have got it from the slow cooker thread or another site -
8 Tart Apples peeled and sliced (try granny smith or golden delicious)
1 - 1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspool allspice
1/4 teaspoon nutmet
3/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/2 cup bisquick, divided
1/3 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons butter, cold
toss apples in large bown with spices.
Place apple mixture in lighly greased slow cooker.
Combine milk, softened butter, sugar, eggs, vailla and 1/2 cup of the Bisquick. Spool over apples.
Combine the remaining Bisquick with the brown sugar.
Cut cold butter into Bisquik mixture until cumbly. Sprinkle this micture over top of apple mixture.
Cover and ook on low 6-7 hours or until apples are soft.
Sounds a bit american to me and I suppose Bisquick is some sort of pastry mix. Not tried it yet but I supppose things like fruit pies and crumble should do quite well in the slow cooker.0
