Time limit for a chargeback

Its taken me a while to get round to this as I have had other more pressing matters, However Last April I paid paypal using my credit card for a concert ticket to be held in Newcastle in August 2006.

The company went bust as they failed to sell enough tickets and promised to make refunds but they failed to do so (Tentrock).
So I tried to get the CC company to make a chargeback from paypal, but they refused as it was over three months.

Is there a legal limit for chargebacks or should I try again?

Which CC company is it? I am currently trying to do a chargeback from August against Paypal.

If you paid using paypal then the agreement is between you, the credit card company and paypal. As all have met their obligations then you will be unlikely to get a chargeback. You will probably have to approach paypal for the refund.

Your well past the limit for a chargeback, I would give up and consider it a lesson learnt. Slim to no chance of recovering anything from that long ago.

I think the time limit is 90 days.
If ever you have a dispute with a retailer always make sure you contact your card company to make them aware of the problem even if you are not asking them to do an immediate chargeback.
