Overcharged on Oyster card, and TFL deny this has happened...

I am fuming.
Yesterday I went to meet my OH at Victoria Bus station, and before I caught the tube I checked balance, which was £9.60.
I then met with my OH, and we went to Leicester Square, and when I got there, the gate said to seek assistance. My balance was now -0.40p?!
I phoned TFL and they promptly accused me of not touching in. Luckily I had been to the station master to get a print out, and could see that I had been charged £4.50 for a journey which took place at 02.16AM from Victoria tube station.
TFL argued that this was not on their screen, and they could not do anything. I hung up on this liar (as you shall see shortly).
When I got through to the next person, they were pleasent, and agreed to refund the amount I had been over charged (which they worked out to be £4.50), and I just assumed that I would not be charged again for the day... but I was charged another £5 the next time I got on the tube to go back to zone 3, which should be £2, as I understand it.
I have tried ringing TFL again (and this time I am asking for money back for my calls, which have amounted to over an hour and a half's worth), and they can't see the problem.
I am at my wits end with speaking to a brick wall.
HELP!

I tried, but they have now changed it, so you can't view your usage unless you have topped up online. They're just hoping you won't notice is my theory.
I spoke to TFL, they said that the cap on Oyster has always beeen 50p less than a dailt travel card, and since the price hike last month, this is right.
So basically, when they said the price of pre-pay travel had been frozen, they lied.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
