EasyJet increase in APD - you may have already paid it - get it refunded

I booked my Easyjet flights (for Aug 2007) on the 7thDec06. At the time of booking I did think that I was already paying the increased APD, especially as the amount I paid is still the amount showing on their website. However I did still get the email from Easyjet requesting the extra £5 per person, and as I was scared of losing my flights I paid the extra £20 ( in total) and emailed them with my concerns about already having paid this amount. Guess what - they agreed with me.:j
This is what they said....
Thank you for your e-mail regarding the increased Air Passenger Duty (APD)
Having checked our records I can confirm that you were charged the increased APD at the time of booking. I have therefore authorised a refund of £ 20.00, which will be credited to the card used for payment on the original booking within 5-10 working days.
We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and we wish a pleasant journey with easyJet.
If any of you think that you have paid this increase in APD, then I suggest you email Easyjet.
Hope this is useful to someone.

I also booked my flights on Dec 7th as well...and paid the APD as sent by email.
I've just sent an email to easyjet now and we'll see what the outcome is.
Thanks
Simon
