Card Protection Plan - cheapest?

Options
I've just been the unfortunate victim of a bag theft, with my wallet being inside. It has been a nightmare trying to cancel everything and I have just found out about Card Protection Plan.

Does anyone know the best ways to go about finding out the cheapest, with the best benefits? I've looked through articles from Martin but can't find one about this, though I might have missed one!

For Morgan Stanley they offer the following:
£20 per annum
- cancel all cards with a single phone call
- emergency cash if abroad
- protection against fraud
- when move home they inform everyone
- covers up to 5 people at same address

Can anyone recommend another company's plan?

Thanks in advance

You could try getting a quote with the companies directly, the 2 main ones are cpp-card protection plan
    and sentinel,
not sure how much they are, but they probably both have websites

Thanks jojo. I've just had a look and the quotes are:

    cpp-card protection plan: £29
    • 24 hour hotline
    • fraudulent cover
    • replacement all cards
    • cash replacement up to £200
    • £100 communication costs, replacing cards
    • £200 replace wallet/bag
    • key replacement costs
    • change of address
cpp-card protection plan: £20 (both policies look the same to me!)
    • 24 hour hotline
    • fraudulent cover
    • replacement all cards
    • cash replacement up to £200
    • £100 communication costs, replacing cards
    • £200 replace wallet/bag
    • key replacement costs
    • change of address
    sentinel: £20
    • 24 hour hotline
    • fraudulent cover
    • replace all cards
    • £100 to replace bag/wallet
    • replace missing cash
    • notify card issues of address change
They all seem similar. Anyone know of others?

why would you want to pay someone for insurance when the CC companies are liable for fraud anyway ?

the rest you can get cheaper/better with personal possessions/contents cover on your home insurance
