Reclaim London Underground fares following delays

Apologies if this has already been posted on here, but I couldn't find it when I did a quick search:
London Underground's Customer Charter states you are entitled to a full refund if your journey is delayed by 15 minutes or more when it is their fault, e.g. signal failure, train failure etc; but they're not responsible for bad weather(!) or actions by third parties.
I didn't realise this, and neither did anyone sitting round me at work. Therefore, I figured I would pass it on. Details of how to do it below:

Good luck!

yes...its ok if you have a season ticket...the problem is if you just had a normal single/return ticket. That ticket has to be sent in with the claim form...bit difficult when the barrier machine usually swallows it when you leave the station....0

On the form, it asks you which station retained the ticket so it doesn't matter if it was swallowed - you can still make a claim.
Have a look at the link above for more details0 -

maybe they changed the forms these days, I dont live in London now, but I know it was too much of a hassle to try and get a couple of quid out of LU when I was there 2 years ago....so didnt bother,
good luck though if anyone tries.0 -
Of course the process if you're an Oyster card holder is much simpler. You fill out the online form here:
http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tube/contacts/refunds.asp
Then wait for them to send you a refund of your single journey in the post. What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0
