Just logged in to see that I'm owe £3.10 more than I was yesterday. It's 0% and I've never used the card. I phoned but they said as the statement is being printed they can't tell me what it is.
Any ideas?

Could it be a payment for Repayment Protection on a purchase made previously?0
-
Nope, I've never used the card and never had Repayment Protection. This is the third statement from Virgin and never been charged before.
Odd thing is that my last minimum payment was £5 but even though the total has gone down the new minimum payment is now £8.10.OD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090 -
Might you have paid late last month, and they've now withdrawn the 0% introductory rate?0
-
Nah, paid £155 and then they took £5 minimum payment

Oh, I did use the card! I paid home and car insurance on it. I wouldn't get charged for that though, would I? I had 0% on purchases for 3 months. First transfer was on 24/8 and my insurances were dated 31/10 and 7/11.OD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090

You've taken the bait haven't you?
Never, ever, ever make purchases on a BT card.
You'll be paying around 15.9% interest on these purchases now until you completely clear the card's balance, due to the 'order of payments' acting to reduce the lowest interest debt first.0 -
I'm not thick when it comes to these things (usually) so would hate to think I've done something stupid. What about the 0% on purchases for three months?
I've been doing this for years and (pretty) sure I checked the T+C's.OD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090 -
But you've had the card more than 3 months now.
You have been enjoying 0% on your purchases until now; but from month 4, the purchase balance has reverted to the standard 15.9% (or whatever it is on your card).
The 'order of payments' on the Virgin card mean all your payments go towards reducing the 0% BT debt. Only when you've completely cleared that will you start to attack the purchases (and associated interest) balance.0 -
F*&! I am stupid. I thought the purchases I bought in the three months would be free the whole time.
Amazon card on the way so I'll transfer. 3% fee but that serves me right for being dozy.OD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090
