HELP___Deleted posts

I was busy talking and wanted to delete eveything in my drafts folder and chose 'select all' and then delete. However, because I wasn't concentrating properly, I chose my inbox instead and didn't realise it. I then chose 'empty deleted items folder!'
Is there any way I can get some posts back?
Please help a technically challenged person!

margaret, I assume you're using Outlook Express. Whatever you do, don't let OE compact messages - sometimes it asks this when you close it down - click Cancel.

All your emails are stored in .DBX files, one for each OE folder, including Deleted Items. To find the location of the .DBX files, in OE - Tools - Options - Maintenance - Store Folder. Make a note of the folder and click Cancel.

Open the folder in Windows Explorer. What is the size of the Deleted Items.DBX file?

If it's quite big, the deleted messages will still be there and you should be able to recover them using DBXtract - costs $5.

I subscribed to Tiscali for their trial period but cancelled well before the end and this
e-mail as well as their confirmation was there. Tiscali have continued to charge me since last April and my bank is going to take it up with them but I really need these
e-mails so thanks a lot, Chippy!
