Gas installers: rip-off merchant or good guy/gal?

Good morning: I have noticed several threads since the weather turned from moneysavers looking for advise on central gas heating/boiler installation. As I believe there is no such thing as too much information, if you really want to suss out whether your gas installer is telling porkies or giving the honest lowdown, the following link should help:

http://www.est.org.uk/uploads/documents/housingbuildings/ce30.pdf

Although it does not provide advice on cost, it is the document used in gas installer training (Part L Energy Efficiency qualification) and is published by the Energy Saving Trust.

Good luck!

P.S. Have posted this at the end of another thread but thought it might get more eye-time as a new thread.
