My hampers with pics but need help on displaying them

I have 4 finished so far. The Scottish one for FIL looks so blooming messy but it's the biggest basket I have and don't want to buy another. I think I definately needs some crepe paper to push some of the contents up - especially on my brothers one but can't find any in the shops

It looks like I've bought too much but this was a really cheap year..... ANY advice on presentation would be more than welcomed - I've never done hampers/baskets before.

  • Hi 'mooky',
'Movie night in' hamper is great...but I think perhaps if you got some crepe paper or tissue paper to pad out the bottom of the bowl (pink if they are girls, blue for boys or perhaps a purple, just a colour that will tie the gifts together) Then perhaps sprinkle a few foil covered coins, or 'Roses' or 'Quality Street' over before putting your cellophane on.....??

  • Ahh, just re-read, if you're having problems finding crepe paper, you can get tissue paper for under a quid in most card shops - look for the cheapy card shops. You could use coloured cellophane?

Perhaps with the FIL one (which is excellent btw) you could just layer it up more, maybe take the teacakes out of their box as they are individually wrapped anyway aren't they? & other biscuits & chocs on top...?

I think you've done really well for what the hampers cost, I would love one for myself :)

  • Thanks lady
That sounds good, never thought about the sprinkling some choccies over before wrapping - means there might be left over from a box for the hard at work wrapperuperer

Will try the card shops and yep, the tea cakes are wrapped. I wasn't sure that they might get bashed out of the box but I could make sure they're on the top.
