Isn't pickled cabbage Russian?
Hollowed out stone, the type that you can buy to hide front door keys in, but weren't they used in Russia with cameras in or drop zones or something?

Home made vodka liquer (cranberries are particularly good)
Russian dolls... (although I don't think the santa ones are very russian...)
DVD "From Russian with love"
Caviar (this doesn't have to be the pricey stuff- infact get the ones with large red caviar. This is what they tend to eat most of)
Champagne (kid you not... christmas is started with a champagne, caviar and pancakes as it new years even...)
My step mother is russian so these would be things she'd either do or they would normally giveI guess it just depends on how "Russian" you want it to be or if you prefer "the spy stuff"

I saw Russian hamper - I thought of vodka, (Russian) Roulette (wheel) althought I think Wilko are doing some sort of russian roulette drinking game at the moment. I also thought of potatoes, and the film, to Russia with Love.
I saw some of those russian dolls somewhere as well - can't remember where though - was it Ikea?- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Theres a thread on the old style board for all different flavours of homemade vodka. May be worth looking there.
