I think this is a really great site, if you have a moment why not send a child on there an email or a card. The most it will take is a few minutes of your time, and maybe a few pence, but to brighten a child's day will definately make it worthwhile.

Hello, I'm posting here about Post Pals, a non profit organisation who support seriously ill children.
CSV (http://www.csv.org.uk/) are the largest volunteering organisation in the UK are having a "Make a Difference Day" which actually takes place over 2 weeks.
The reason I'm emailing is during the fortnight we are aiming to "post 5000 smiles on a sick childrens faces", by sending cards, postcards, letters, pictures/paintings etc, you can send multiple ones in one envelope to the child (and brothers and sisters). Everyone from toddlers to retired people can get involved.
As its being run by CSV there are also stickers and certificates available (I will need a SAE) which might make it even more rewarding for children taking part.
To take part simply log onto https://www.postpals.co.uk and follow these 5 easy steps
5 Easy Steps to Brighten a Sick Child's Day
1) Click on a Child's face or select "Find Pals"
2) Read their page (each child has one page)
3) Write a card, letter, Email, or even a gift to the child, and post it to the address on their page NB, this is not the child's home address, but a forwarding one Please don't expect a reply.
4) Send an email to viks@postpals.co.uk saying who you have written to, and whether it was a card, letter or parcel.
5) Sit back and know that a child is smiling because of YOU.

If we can spend time searching and waiting for new posts, it won't take much effort to send an email or two while we wait.
Excatly !! Especially at Xmas time, one extra card on your list won't hurt the bank account too much will it ??
