Hi all,
I need to convert a Microsoft Publisher document to PDF format - I tried a few today but they're all cr*p - I need it to be free and no advertising embedded in the PDF as it's for a printing company to print a full newsletter from the PDF document.
Many thanks for any tips/links

I use PrimoPDF. It installs as a 'virtual printer' so can be used from any Windows application. It is freeware. This space has been intentionally left blank0

I recently installed PDFCreator from http://www.pdfforge.org/ - this has been reviewed as one of the best free open source ones. It also creates PNG, JPG, TIFF, BMP, PCX, PS, EPS files. It's about a 15 MB download. Works perfectly.
I had previosuly installed a free one with a very small download eg 4 MB, on using it found it had a footer on every created Doc saying in Red "Please Liicense to Remove This Message" (ie have to pay).0 -
Long shot here..
If I want to convert word documents to PDF I select >file >print
Then in the drop down for printer name I chose PDF.
When you 'print' the document it asks where to save the pdf file.
Maybe publisher has the same options?0 -
I use expert PDF which came free with a magazine. Actually free with a friends magazine so it cost nothing. Not that this helps but I did notice a similar program on one of PC magazines today. Not free but cheap.0

I use that too, and have found it to be pretty good.Stompa0 -

Ditto. PrimoPDF has always worked well for me.
Although in saying that, there was an annoying feature in earlier versions whereby every 5th time you tried to print to PDF, it would bring up a registration screen which couldn't be shifted other than with Ctrl+Alt+Del. As it blocked the PDF creation process, it meant shutting down the program and then restarting it.
Irritating, but I'm fairly certain they got rid of it in the newer versions.0 -

My copy is around 18 months old, and I've never seen it do that.Stompa0 -

Hi all,
I have been using PrimoPDF for a few hours - but it is adding in blank pages and also sometimes even duplicating pages?
I have checked and none of the graphics or text 'bleed' off the page to warrant this kind of problem - any ideas?
