Hi there,
got this message from Tesco this morning:-

This week we are offering 50% off a superb range of wines and Champagnes at Tesco.com. Now really is the time to stock up on your favourites and make a great saving. eg

Evolution Semillon Chardonnay
CASE OF 6 (equivalent to £2.84 per bottle)

Delivery charge is just £5, no matter how many cases you order.
Free delivery over £99.00.

If you like red then they have Calloway Crossing Cabernat Shiraz at £2.99 on the Groceries part of the website. There are codes for £10 off when you spend £50 on the Groceries section (am I allowed to post them here? If not they are available at Rpoints). Last night I ordered
18 bottles @ £2.99 = £53.82.
Less 5% for ordering 6 or more bottles = £51.13
Less £10 for spending over £50 = £41.13
Plus £3.99 delivery = £45.12

This gives a final price of £2.51 per bottle.

This would work on any wine of course (e.g. the Evolution mentioned) but I think the Calloway is a better wine.

[Edit : Can confirm the above works as my order has just arrived along with 2 free Cadbury's Irresistibles bars]

I can slightly beat that price but it depends if you like the wine

Icelands are doing a "Buy 3 bottles for £10" (I forget which brand now) so I ordered 6 of each (red & white) which came to £40 then used my £10 voucher, so that makes them £2.50 a bottle ... AND with FREE delivery

Funny you should mention that, but when my Tesco delivery came on Sunday there was a Cadbury's Irresistables bar in the basket but I assumed it must have fallen in from a split packet from someone else's shopping

Thanks Curry_Queen - Have been looking for some decent white on offer for a while now. The Iceland offer wines are Isla Negra.... not bad at all....especially for £2.50 per bottle.

Thanks Searcher2, I picked up a bottle of the Calloway Crossing this afternoon and am trying it out now. It is fine, don't even need a cork screw! I will order some in the morning.

The other one (3 for £10) is Intulo (made by Kumala) red and white and they're both really nice. Hic!

My local Spar does (3for 10 ) every week, Thing is is 12% by volume and you dont half get a headache if ya drink it all in one go!
