What to buy teenage girls for Xmas

I have 5 nieces aged 12 - 18, and last year got them Lancombe Juicy Tubes, which they were all really pleased with. I just don't know what to get them this year for under £10, any ideas please.

  • Just an idea.... What about a wicker basket ( only small) and fill with small gifts , bubble bath, hair bits and bobs chocolates, nail polish, anything you think they may like. They then have a basket for their bedroom.
Also which I found a great idea is the Fun vouchers if they live close by.
You could offer to take them somewhere , the list is endless .
    Hope this helps.x
  • Back again - sophiesmum told me where to go. https://www.fun vouchers.com
  • how about vouchers for a treatment at a local beauty salon

  • for around a tenner you could get them something like luxury shampoo and conditioner. you know, the sort that its lovely to get as a present but is probably too pricey for a teenager to justify buying on a regular basis. And all the better if its on 3 for 2 at Boots as they sometimes are!

or pyjamas or nice underwear ? I got my 14 year old niece a pair of gorgeous pjs in from Florence & Fred at Tesco and they were only £5, I couldn't believe it as they were really nice, they looked much more expensive.

Thanks for the ideas. I don't live near them so couldn't take them out. The baskets are a nice idea, but I find I spend so much on the bits and pieces if I do anything like that, and so much time trying to find the bits too. I think the pyjamas are are a good idea, or the shampoo, I will look in Boots on Monday.
  • You can get some lovely jewellery for under £10 at places like Dorothy Perkins, Miss Selfridge etc. My girls have often had this type of thing from one of their aunties and have always been really pleased.
And as you don't live near your neices, its easy to post.

How about hair serum - my daughter is obsessed with her hair straightners but the serum is a costly expense - I am sure that a bottle (or two) could be welcomed as a very useful present (if applicable)!!
  • I have five teenage girls (not all mine!) to buy for and it's getting harder every year to find something especially as I don't see them that often. This year I've made little gift bags which I've filled with travel size shampoos, lotions, potions, creams etc (got a lot of them from an outlet shop which sells upmarket toiletries), along with a mini hairbrush and a couple of new face flannels. Probably very boring for them but it's so difficult to know what to get!

Last year I hit the jackpot by buying them expensive designer shower gels but that was a one-off treat (was a bit more flush then!). They loved them though.

I brought a great set of mini make up items off ebay for about £6. It had tons of the free sample type things and bits off teenage magazine covers plus about 50 unused items of make up. There are a few of these around if you hunt. I split mine into 4 baskets, added some choccies and have 4 really nice teenage/ older girl gifts for under £10.
