Goals for week commencing 8 October

Options
Last week's thread: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=274569

Last week:
  • Send invoice for £600 of working from home
    -- red.
  • Make a trip to Brighton (from London) to start looking at flats
-- Nope. Decided against Brighton until the spring - will look in London instead.
  • Usual spending target: £100 tops
    --Slowly getting there. £108.76.
  • Cut down on drinking, especially drinking at home. No more than 21 units.
--Failed. Actual amount is more like double.
  • Travel by bus instead of train to save money
    -- Mixed success.
  • Chase up Egg - who still haven't send me a replacement Egg Money card
-- Done. They're sending another one.

Next week:
  • Keep it simple. Lunch to work. Spending below £100. Take it easy.

Over to you...

i don't know how to do all that clever stuff! but my aims were:
don't use cheque book-used once-cashpoint ate my card or i would have succeeded!
take lunch to work everyday: managed-spaghetti and beans on toast everyday!
can't remeber the rest to be honest-therefore probably failed!
same aims next week and try to stay within my overdraft!

My goal for this week is to come back from holiday and make sure finances are back on track where they should be.

This will include updating the spreadsheet, checking all bills which may have appeared and working out how much I have left for the end of the month.

A break from it all was good but will be nice to get back in the saddle and truly under control.
