Hello
Anyone else experiencing difficulty downloading the latest Definitions Update [5 10 2006]???
Lavasoft forum seemed inaccessible so googled to find June 06 advice re:
"Getting alerts to definitions file being out of date but then finding no updates available"
and followed advice to go to L/sft site and d/l zip file. Except following the steps to copy and add to existing program failed.
Usual update procedure attempted and got instant 100% d/load bar which ain't right.
So deleted previous zip file (defs) and tried and now got "File/Update corrupted". EEEK!
Uninstalled A/A then tried to d/l it again from L/soft only to find it was 2005 model and so updates 500 days old!!!!
Used update tab and yet again Instant 100% bar so still dumbfounded.
Is it my pc or is Lavasoft site suffering meltdown?
Any help for a duncette appreciated.......pretty please....

i did same as you this morning !!.... but at the "500 days" bit ... it did come up with the updates which only took a few seconds and now everything aok.0

Well I'm having problems. I must have been trying the same time as the OP.
Have tried again but same result. It tells me I need to update, I start the update buy nothing happens

So you had your, otherwise normally, AA updating procedure thwarted thus uninstalling and re-installing AA like me? That is odd for a start isn't it?
Well I tried again clicking the 500 days tab and got immediate prompt tab for the 5/10/06 updates, then the instant 100% update full bar, then
"The downloaded definitions file could not be read please update again"
and subsequent update attempts produce the same disspiriting results.
Wonder if you were lucky or I am unlucky. We need a 3rd poster to give some balance.
Otherwise I am fearful I might have swallowed something nasty, even though my Spybot and AVG blitzes produced nothing at boot up.

I tried on one PC yesterday, after having no updates since (at least) 24th September, an unusually long period of time. Today it went ok on both PCs.
The probable explanation is that they've been too busy updating their website, and everyone and their auntie now wants to download the latest update...

We often find this is the case and revisit later - early in morning - it then usually works! NB Get the same with Spybot also!I'm mad!!!! :rotfl::jand celebrating everyday every year!!!0
