Tesco - kid's games for buttons!

Popped into Tesco this evening to buy 1 or 2 Christmas presents for various children.
On the shelf with 'Buckaroo' and 'Operation' board games was a label saying 'Buy 2 Get The Cheapest Free'. I was unsure whether this referred to a 3 for 2 offer or a Buy 1 Get 1 Free offer...checked with staff and it is more of a Buy 1 Get 1 Free offer, although there is a difference of about 50p in the price of these 2 games so you end up paying for the most expensive one.
Anyway, when I got up to self-scan till, put them through, it should've been £6.49 and £6.95 (roughly) for each item, so I was expecting to pay around £7. However, the till automatically deducted just under £10 so I ended up getting both games for £3.70!
V.impressed and am back in tomorrow to get some more!
Hope this helps

Not at my local, sadly. Prices had been removed, and I hoped this was to discourage people from buying. £6.49 and £6.97. £6.97 deducted, though.
I wonder if it would deduct more if you bought one of the more expensive games? Some were £12-odd.
Never mind - I think Buckaroo and Operation are the only ones we've not got, so they'll come in useful!0 -
Will need to try my Tesco at the weekend. Does anyone know if its only Buckaroo and Operation that are around the £6 mark or do they have other games too.
Thanks for the tip. Could be getting some of my christmas shopping too.0 -

Hi, those that bought multiple games did you pay separately for each 2 lots of games or does it work when you buy 4 together in 1 transaction.0

Brilliant, Bought 8 games for under £12! I put them all through together BTW.
