I Wanna Register My Vehicle But Not Pay £20!

hI.

I need to register my car after someone gave me theres, but they lost the log book. Just realised u gotta pay 20 quid for a new one? This is news to me, but been out of country for a while so guess the goverments constantly thinking of ways to steal money off motorists.

Anyway just wondered if anyone know of a way to register a vehicle without paying the 19 pound rip off?

    Someone GAVE you a car and you're complaining at paying £20?:confused:
    Think of it as part of the unavoidable expenses such as tax disc, MOT, petrol, oil, insurance, servicing, parking charges, etc and you'll not notice the £20.

    Not complaining as such but if theres a way not to pay then i'd rather do that. Make sense?
