Hi, my desktop has gone a bit kaput after 6 years and I'm looking to you guys for some advice on what I should get, been looking at a few today and I am on a limited budget, don't need anything all singing and dancing as I have access to a laptop too.
These are the ones I have been looking at, could you tell me off if they are crap or point me in the right direction at some similar kind of models (£400 tops)

If your old one was 6 years old, would guess almost anything on sale today will be faster. You could just get a base unit if your monitor is in good nick. Both of the above have what I'd consider a minumum RAM/Disk (512mb and 80gb).0

home does do networking, just doesn't have a couple of features which 99.9% of personal users will never want to use.0 -
kipper i aint very good with the technical stuff with pcs, but dont get an acer, we sell them and the amount that come back is unbelivable (and this is with the year) so yeah my 2penith is dont get an acer

Try www pcspecialist.co.uk, they are a independent firm in the uk, they have great after sale service and tech help on a cheap 0845 number,and they will not sell you anything you do not need.You will have to configur your own sytem though.Child of a Fighting Race.0
