conveyancing-warehouse.com or Estate Agents solicitors for £300 more?

Options
Just wondered if anyone can recommend the above? Were they quick?

Basically, were selling our home and buying our new home both with the same estate agent and have the option of using "theyre" solicitors for a total fee of:

£2492.20 (Includes stamp Duty)

Or

conveyancing-warehouse.com can do it for £2,201.13.

Is it worth saving the £300 or would it be better using the ones the agents recommend to make it easier as they have better communication links with them?

HELP !!!

Thanks.

I think you would be even better off ringing round local solicitors for a quote. I personally would recommend that you never use your estate agents' solicitors. You might perceive that they have better communications links but to who will the loyalty lie if for example you wanted to pull out? The solicitor may want to protect the estate agents fees and although they should act in your best interests, they may not be impartial enough.

The Solicitor would be totally unethical to back an estate agent's interest rather than the client - they would be wide open to being sued so i think this is being a bit cynical!
and anyway, most solicitors hold estate agents with some level of contempt regardless of whether they give them work or not!

ring round a few local agents and ask them to recommend local solicitors to get quotes.

there was a few hundred quid difference between ours.
  • I'm in exactly the same position! Have quote from conveyancing.warehouse.com and quotes from solicitors recommended by EA and solicitors from mortgage company. cw.com best quote by £500, despite mortgage company swearing their service is best.
Think we'll still go with cw.com though!
    Just gotta sell the flat.....!

Anyone got any experiences with conveyancing-warehouse.com? In particular do they do things faster than some lawyers are reputed to?
  • I've just instructed conveyancing warehouse and they seem very quick so far, we got a pack two days after instruction with loads of information, what everything was going to cost and all we have to do now is send off the cheque for 200 and our ID. I looked on this site and a couple of people have already posted good things about conveyancing warehouse.
