Landlords' property insurance

Has anyone any experience with getting competitive quotes for property lets insurance? The screen scrapers don't seem to be much good when it comes to this specialised market and I'm wondering what the experience of other landlords (not brokers) has been.
Confused.com simply has a backhander-paid-for link to one insurer. What a sell out!

Being an experienced broker AND a landlady Budmeiser, I would recommend a company called rentguard
They have a 90 day unoccupancy allowance in their buildings insurance policy, their insurance policies also cater for DSS, Student and Immigrant lets.
They also do rent and legal guarantee policies £50 for 6 months. £99 (last time I checked for 1 year)
They are cheap, efficient and their claims handling is excellent.I am a Mortgage Adviser

I wouldnt bother helping this man, as he said, he's not interested...god only knows why he bothered posing the question in the first place if he's not interested.....quite confusing, not something you see on here often, someone asking a question then not wanting the answers! How odd.I am a Mortgage Adviser

Yawn. No advice required from the gratuitously offensive, thank you. Take your offerings elsewhere.0

NO thanks, as a member of this site I am free to post wherever I like, and I chose to post here so I will repeat myself, rentguard are a good option, you should check them out http://www.rentguard.org/
Not sure if they do troll insurance, but they do insure most types of tenants and rented propertiesI am a Mortgage Adviser

Personally, George, I'd fight shy of any outfit that requires one to use an 0870 number to contact them. Martin's pointed this out more than once, himself. and quite rightly.
Thanks for your help anyway. Real help and polite advice ALWAYS appreciated.0 -

Not sure if I'd want Bud-Miser as my Landlord, but as one myself, I'll take a look at the RentGuard site as it sounds like a good option. Thanks.
