Las Vegas In October - Gutted!

Options
I'm getting married in October in Vegas.
The only thing Mr to be had to do was book the flights - cheap as poss...
he phoned me one day and said they were all selling out and had found some for £420 from gatwick to Minneapolis to vegas (with a 6 hour wait in Minn  )

Anyhoo, he booked, me, him, best man and Mrs and his parents...
Gave me times and flight numbers and told me i had to book bridesmaids and my parents.
I did.... then 2 weeks later we were talking and i said "well we can do that when we arrive on the Sunday" oooops, he says. He booked the same flights - just 24 hours later!!!!!
After a row with airlinenetwork. we cancelled and booked us two again on the earlier flights.. Non refundable so we only got the tax back £150 each..

Just been on the Virgin site.... £405 for direct flights.
MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'n sooo gutting, he's really going to get it in the ear when we are sat in that airpost for 6 hours

You must love him if you are still going to marry him ;)

Make sure the beers are on him in Minneapolis !! You can drink a fair few in 6 hours !!

Have fun in Minneapolis, I spent 2 hours there in April on the way to Vegas and another 2 on the way back, and there wasn't much to do.
At least though, if you are delayed or stuck at immigration, you won't miss the next flight.
  • To be fair, Airlines often have promotions in late August/September for flights in Oct/November so you're flights were probably the cheapest at the time.

And The Mall of America is only a 10 minute taxi ride from MSP airport. After clearing immigration, it's well worth a visit if there's time (just leave hubby at the airport watching the bags!!).

look in the egg airport lounge thread, may be worth it for the food and drink alone. I would also mention to the airline youre getting married (u will be carrying your dress onto the plane anyway as proof) and often they get bumped up

And as always for cheap hotels in Vegas check out this thread. MGM Grand is usually about £35 a night for an upgraded room http://www.fatwallet.com/t/63/596328/
