Default Buying "Imported" camper van?

Hi there,

I've been trying to find a camper van for a long time - needs to be an automatic and they seem to be thin on the ground! Anyway, I've seen one advertised which says it is a "recent" import from Japan but is fully registered and taxed paid etc. Is it risky to buy an import and could I end up having to pay taxes etc., if these haven't been properly paid? Any tips on what to watch out for or checks to make to ensure legalities have been complied with would be most appreciated!

Many thanks!

www.kamperchat.co.uk are an extremely friendly bunch and someone on there is bound to have done it before. Put a post on the general chat forum. If it's a T25 that you're after, have a look on www.club80-90.co.uk
