18185 alter prices to NGN 0845/0870 numbers.

I see that 18185 have changed their prices to 0845/0870 numbers and introduced 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am time bands for them.
0845 (Old) P.3p.E.1p. W.1p. (New) 6am to 6pm.3p. 6pm to 6am.0.5p.Weekends 0.5p. (So a price reduction at Offpeak and Weekends makes them the cheapest at moment at these times of the week).
0870 (Old) P.4p. E.4p.W.2p. (New) 6am to 6pm.5p 6pm to 6am 3p.Weekends 1p.(A price increase of 1p at peak rate.But a price reduction at Offpeak and Evenings,makes them cheapest at these times of the week).

Except for the 0870 peak price increase (now only equal cheapest weekday peak instead of out there on their own), that's great news - obviously to counter some of BT's new prices to be introduced from 1st October.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

From the 1/10/2006 BT will edge 18185 slightly on 0845 at Weekends 3p set up on BT,as opposed to 4p connection on 18185. Both 0.5p a minute.(Note: you can still nominate one 0845 number as your best friend on BT and get a 20% discount on calls to it).0
