  • Doesnt seem a bad deal to me.
From what I can find a Maxtor 160gb hard drive internal drive alone is £38, by the time you have bought a cheap housing for it and paid postage your going over Plays price, so on that note - for the money, not bad at all! ;)

Always try and get something like this to back up your data. I have a toshiba , but dad may get one of these and through quidco as well.

I read on a newsgroup its a Western Digital drive in it and on the play spec it says.
Fanless design allows the DriveStations to operate silently while the Heat Sink Chassis keeps the internal components cool during operation.

  • Thanks for that!!
Was just thinking about getting an external HD

I've had the 250gb one for about 6 months and had no problems. Not sure how loud it is as it is much quieter than my PC!

I've got one of those external drives.
Had mine for about 6 months, not any problems with it at all - and it's very quiet.
The only thing I'd mention is that it runs very warm - far warmer than my other external drives.
Not everything that's cheap is a bargain
