Free stickers, pens, balloons, logobugs ...

Options

You can order as much as you like. It is from the UK Transpant website.:j

I thought that if you sold things on ebay you could stick a sticker on your parcel, or include a freebie pen with each sale so you can spread the word. You or your kids could use a pen at work/school. Young ones love to play with balloons and logobugs and they all love sweets.:T

I applied a while back and received loads of promo items which I was able to distribute through my local school.

And, this freebie could SAVE A LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!:j

(My dad passed away last year waiting for a transplant, so I try to do my bit. Most people think that carrying a card is enough but it's not. You MUST register with the site for your wishes to be carried out. I am in no way preaching with this post ... I wasn't going to ever register, I didn't want bits of me taken if I died ... but now I realise that selfishly, I expected someone else to do the same for my dad, so I have registered and I do carry a card)

If this post needs to be moved / removed then feel free.

Thanks ... and enjoy your freebies;)

Many thanks for this post meerustar, what a great idea to raise awareness. I've emailed them and hubby will send out leaftlets and pens etc in all his Ebay parcels. He does 50-70 a week, so it should help.

I am so very sorry to hear that your father passed away. I think it is a wonderful idea to turn your grief into something positive that will hopefully help lots of other people.

  • Rather than regarding this as a "freebie" please could people donate some cash - even just to cover the postage and admin costs for these items.
I'm studying an allied health professions course and quite often I request documents and info sheets from charities such as MS, Parkinsons, CF etc...as they are always an excellent source of teaching and information.
They always request a donation when I order via the website or when they send my items. I always oblige.
Please...this is a charity - any money they are spending on balloons, pens etc is money not going to their cause. Please give something back. Thanks. :D

  • My daughter's going to Kenya to work for a charity for three months on her final nursing student placement in September, so I'll get some pens, balloons etc for her to distribute to some of the kids (or even grown ups) out there as they're always grateful for pens, and balloons, stickers etc will be luxuries for them, and at the same time I'll make a monetary donation as I can't donate any of me. Thank you for this worthwhile post.

Thankyou sooo sooo much everyone for supporting this post.

I totally agree with you 'Snow Angel' and agree with the donations. To be quite honest I hadn't even thought of it so thankyou.

However, all MSE'ers do have the choice... sometimes spreading the word and donating is a whole lot better than money but money does help too, so I will donate something now ...

Thanks for the support regarding my Dad and the PM's I have had. I wasn't after sympathy as we all lose someone close to us, but I have to say the messages have been nice.

SO thankyou and order ... spread the word and donate if you can. It's an awful thought but a precious life could be saved,

I was ALWAYS one of those who would refuse to carry a card, my husband does and has always been registered and I was always like 'Ugh no way would I do it' but being on the other side has made me realise how selfish I was. I'm not calling anyone here selfish, each to their own, but it just made me realise ... anyway, on a more positive note, I am fine and doing good.

A little note for those going through a berevement, it DOES get easier, it DOES get better, and although your loved one is always in your mind, you CAN get through it and life does go on.

Thanks everyone, you are ALL THE BEST!!!!!!!!!

Do hope nobody abuses these 'freebies'
We're all here on this forum looking, of course, for freebies. But when I saw your post meerustar, I stopped looking and started thinking of ....... well, more important things. You can see from replies that others feel the same.

Luv to you and your family.

Maybe should be moved to the 'Charity' forum??????
:grouphug: A smile, a 'please' and a 'thank you' cost nothing
