Hi everyone,
Just found this site when searching for ways to improve the suction on my Dyson DC04, if you go to the technical help section it has step by step guides on how to change all the parts, I didn't even know there was a post motor filter on my model let alone that it needs replaced, anyway, it might be useful to some of you as well

Have just gone to that site,(it is not official Dyson site), and phoned Dyson re the filter advice on that site, Dyson say they are giving wrong advice, in the case of my query the site says the post motor filter on a Dyson DC04 should be changed when it reaches the condition shown, Dyson say that is a lifetime filter and never needs changing, also the pre motor filter, the site says wash it in warm soapy water, Dyson say do not use soapy water as it clogs the filter, use only cold water to clean it, so use the site at your own peril.
The official Dyson site is HERE, click on customer service when you get there.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
