Hi, I have just recieved letter form OR saying that my file is now being passed to the RTLU and that they will deal with any remaining assets and payments which may be paid to creditors, can anyone advise, is this good or bad?
Many thanks

This is good! It means your examiner has finished with your case and is now passing it to the RTLU for it to be wrapped up.

One more question, is it always the RTLU that deal with BI in houses?
Actually this is 2 questions!. . . . No IPA been mentioned previously, AD was 6 weeks ago, has anyone heard of IPA being put in place after discharge by RTLU (under any circumstance)?
Thanks in advance for any advice0 -
you asked about any circumstance. The only way that an IPA/IPO could be set up after discharge is if you had lied about your income during the bankruptcy. IE the OR hasnt had the full facts to make a decision, if they have all the facts and chosen not to give you an IPA then you wont get one after discharge.
RTLU usually deals with the BI, The OR can do it but doesent like to because it is the job of RTLUHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0 -
Thanks debtinfo, haven't lied, OH is self employed and I work part time, but the OR never asked for proof of income ie wage slips, accounts, current bank statements etc, is that normal?0

Hi debt, what would happen if you have been told not to send any more payslips but you still earn extra (the payslips were to inform OR of hubbys wages, their request). I am very pleased obviously but also very nervous. Hubby was passed to the RTLU but they have said they dont want to recieve his payslips[STRIKE]Shazbo[/STRIKE]

If you are undischarged and receive a significant increase in income then you should still tell the OR/RTLUHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

It wont be anymore that has been on his last 5 payslips and they have done nothing about collecting any of that (i am still saving 70% each month) We have done all we can i think, the lady on the phone today had no idea why we would be sending them, we sent it to the OR who passed it to the RTLU, who said they didnt need to recieve any more[STRIKE]Shazbo[/STRIKE]

Hi Oke
It is not correct that just because your file has been passed to RTLU that the OR has finished with your case. For most people i would agree it would suggest that the investigation is over. For me they were just dealing with my house.
After reading many posts about being passed over to RTLU i was delighted as i thought my OR had finished with the investigation. How wrong could i be:(
I was passed to RTLU 3 months after my bk, then my case was transfered back to my OR in the 6 month.
Best Wishes

Hi Kat, now you've got me worried:eek:
Were you discharged when your case got refered back to OR? Also if you don't mind me asking did the OR need to speak to you again with regard to anything?
Thanks0 -

Im interested in this too. My DH was transferred to the RTLU 5 months into BR, had a letter from the OR telling him this. Haven't heard anything since and wondering if we will now?
The only change I have had is when I noticed on the IS website my OR details had changed to the National Dividends Unit. I rang them to enquire and was told they are just tying up administration and dealing with any payments to creditors before my case is closed. Again that was about 5 months into my BR.
We are both now 8 months in and haven't heard a dickie bird since.
