Hi,
Does anyone know where I can buy an automatic dialer to prefix my calls with 18185?
There used to be a device available called "Orchid Dialer" for about £10- but it seems the company no longer sells them.
Anyone have one no longer in use that they'd sell me perhaps?

There are no new Orchid V2 or V4 diallers available now - Orchid no longer sell them).
There used to be a DECT version called the Ranger 400 and that is remarkably similar in design to the low-radiation DECT telephones sold by THIS COMPANY. However, I see they are sold at a premium price.
It might be worth asking them if their DECT base stations incorporate an Orchid dialler. If they do, it should be possible to make use of Kevin Lawry's clever MS Excel spreadsheet for programming.
http://208.56.23.24/mse/Auto_Routing_Table_v1_9.zipTime has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

I have reprogrammed my phones so that all the persons in the phone memory have two numbers against their name. One with the "normal" number and one prefixed with 18185.
I put "18" after the name to identify them.
So I have "Fred" to use evenings & w/e. "Fred18" to use during the day.
I just have to remember what the time is - works well !0
