10p eBay listing days Wed 9 & Thu 10 Aug-merged

Speech-Mark-Left.gif

Official insert

What’s the deal?
This Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 of August, Ebay is having a 10p listing day.

What’s included?
The offer is valid on two types of listings: Auction-style and Auction-style with a buy-it-now option. Though remember regular Buy-it-now auctions don’t count. For more on the different selling formats go here.

How much will I pay?
While the “basic insertion fee” is 10p, remember you’ll still have to pay a full “final value fee” based on the closing price of your auction. So for example, if your item sells for £28 you’ll pay 10p insertation plus a £1.57 closing fee. Full list of eBay fees.

How to make the biggest savings.
The trick with this offer's to list big items with a high starting price. For instance, with items with starting at 99p the insertion fee is only 15p anyway, so the saving’s only 5p. Yet for items starting over £100 the fee’s £2 – a much bigger saving, especially if you list a few things.

  • It's more expensive this time, but it also includes free BIN with auction listings, so if a seller wants to use it for BIN listings they could list as auction with BIN for 10p, and just make the auction start price only marginally less than the BIN price.
