Hi
Have managed to arrange a caravan holiday in Newquay. We are meeting up with some friends whilst down there.... have any of you been to any places that you enjoyed and could tell me about?
Have a fairly tight budget to stick to..... would sooner have a nice day out and take a picnic than spend lots on drinks etc.
A few ideas.... enjoy walking or ambling if little one up to it, otherwise its the back pack for him.....
Nice beaches.... friends have offered to babysit one evening, so nice place for a quiet meal????
Thanks in advance.x

Thank you. Will visit the beach......lots of sandcastles, not sure who will enjoy it more, us or little fella........
Just need somewhere to have a meal out one evening......
Having a day down at Gardens of Helegan again....kove that place, fairly long drive but worth it.0 -
I don't think Padstow is too far away from there, that is nice, Rock is where all the wealthy go for their hols, so it might be nice to hob nob on their beaches!
Also the camel trail around Padstow is supposed to be lovely to do the trail in the sand dunes. You can hire bikes for the day to do the trail, you can get the kiddy trailers and add ons for different ages. Make a day of it.
I wouldn't personally recommend the Oceanarium, but if you do go try to find a money off voucher and don't buy one of their guides, that is a misleading name for a book full of fishes, but nothing relating to the visit!0 -
Thanks for those places mentioned, have not heard of Rock but will go and pay a visit.
Have been told to visitCharlestown and surrounding areas.
Just need to know where to go for a nice meal, nothing too fancy.
Anybody live down that way who could recommend anywhere?

Bude, Crackington Haven & Boscastle are not far away. Falmouth on the south coast is nice too.
If you fancy a bit of a drive go down to the Minack Theatre (down past Penzance) - it is always a great atmosphere to watch a performance...0 -
Go to Crantock, lovely village and has one of the best beaches in Cornwall - long and wide, loads of sand dunes and perfect for a walk. In the evening, go to "The Bowgie Inn" in West Pentire for great pub food, spectacular views and fabulous sunsets (and it is child friendly).

Hope this helps0 -
Thanks chucklevision - went to Minack last year, lovely place, didnt see a show as had little one with us. A show is a must...
Thanks for all the other tips, looks like a week is not long enough for what we have planned now......0 -
