A+L Current A/C Refer a Friend back to £50!

I have just seen that A+L have moved back to paying £50 for a refer a friend scheme.
Is there anything to stop you getting your friends to create the account, put in £500, get the £50 refer a friend and then closing the account?
Thanks

It would appear correct cos I was looking at an article here this morning.
http://www.alliance-leicester.co.uk/currentaccounts/index.asp?page=recommend-friend&cm_re=al3pdca-_-02-_-recfriendt&ct=premierdirhome02
These are the terms and conditions taken from A&L site this morning :-

How to earn £50
Download the recommend a friend voucher (pdf**)

Pass the voucher onto your friend or relative who is opening up an account

I just tried to open a Premier account and put in a £500 monthly credit amount. Got an e-mail back saying
"I am sorry, but we are unable to offer you a Premier Direct Current
Account at this time. We would, however, like to offer you a Current
Account, with all the benefits of a cheque book and Visa Electron card
which you can use at any cash machine in the UK."
Went straight back to the site, re did exactly the same application with £750 monthly deposit.
"We are delighted to let you know that your application for an Alliance &
Leicester Premier Direct Current Account has been successful and we are
now in the process of setting up your new account. You will receive
written confirmation from us through the post within the next couple of
days."
Once its through I will be getting my partner to open one so we should get this twice. Not sure why they refused the application firsst tiem around, cos I did put down the minimum amount of £500.
This is the terms and conditions on the account.

Look at page 5, section 10 on closing the account. Nowhere does it mention a miniumum qualifying time that you have to keep the account open to get your £50 quid.0
