Standing Order - Bank Makes A Mistake!

I set up a Standing Order with the bank to run for 15 months and the bank got the completion date wrong and stopped the payments 12 months early!
I have only just realised their mistake and am now in an embarrassing situation where payments have not been made - (this was not due to a lack of funds available).
Has anyone experienced the same problm and does anyone know if I am entitled to compensation for the bank's error?

If the person or organisation have charged you a fee for not paying on time then the bank should compensate you for that.
If not no.0
