hi, im fed up of not being able to drive and cant afford to run two cars in our house so thought about getting a little runaround.
ive seen the peugeot speedfights but when i type ladies scooter or ladies moped into ebay/ search engine nothing much comes up, i think i need to search something specific, but i wouldnt know where to start. obviously, i would try before i buy, but wondered if anyone could recommend a particular type, or equally, if you had advice about a bad model please let me know
thanks so much

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Whatever scooter you're about to choose, here's a tip on how not to wear your helmet:

Sorry, couldn't resist :rotfl:0 -
If you are looking for longevity, reliability, and not to have to strip down and rebuild your scooter every few months, then stay away from the cheap Chinese models, and head for the better known names. They'll cost a bit more, but they're worth the cash. You probably won't find anything classed as a womans scooter, since there is a huge array to choose from. What you will need to check is if your licence has Category A entitlement, and then you'll need to do your Compulsory Basic Training (around the £100 mark). Try looking online at the main manufacturers to get a feel for what you like the look of, then think about maybe heading to a dealership to see them 'in the flesh'.Fight Crime : Shoot Back.
It's the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without being seduced by it.

Theres no such thing as a "ladies" scooter - they are unisex!
IMHO style wise you cant beat a vespa
but nothing wrong with any of the "major" manufacturers.
Kymco - one of the cheapies - is starting to get a better rep, so may be worth looking intoProud of who, and what, I am. :female::male::cool:0 -
i don't really know much about scooters, but on an MSE note, why not get an electric one? road tax & congestion charge exempt, will cover 30 miles....
