Cheap Family Holiday Advice - 1st Time Abroad with 8 Year old Boy

Hi All, I am after some advice about booking a holiday at the end of August.
1. Looking to Fly from Bristol on either 25th or 26th August for a 1 Week Holiday.
2. This will be the first time abroad for our 8 year old boy, therefore I'm looking for a destination where the flight is only a couple of hours maximum.
3. As we have a child we are looking for accomadation that is centrally situated for amenities/ beach etc. Also looking for accomadation that provides evening entertainment for families/kids.
4. Ideally looking for an 'All Inclusive' deal to save costs (please let me know if you would disagree?)
5. Budget means that we are looking to pay arround £375-£400 maximum.
Any advice/suggestions greatly appreciated
Thanks
Pebz

Just done a quicky, Tenerife S/c £1100
Mallorca AI £1347.
They were the lowest for any destination.

26th August
Bristol - Mallorca.
Staying at Marthas club apartments in Cala D'or in a 1 bed apt. Its only self catering though.
Total for 2 adults and 1 child is £956 plus £78 for transfers if required ( probably won't get these cheaper as Cala d'or is about an hour from the airport )
Remember if considering Tenerife that its over a 4 hour flight compared to just over 2 hours to majorca.
Check for other offers on
https://www.xl.com under package holidays
P.S.. With XL you get exactly the same service as you would booking through travelcitydirect ( go to their reps on arrival for tranfers). You even get offered their welcome meeting. XL offer a considerable saving over booking through travelcity ( and offer a bigger choice of flights).
They have all inclusive to Marina Pax in Magalluf for £1267 departing on the same bristol flight.
I would rather go self catering and spend the money on your own choice of meals/drinks rather than the usual all inclusive rubbish ( the cheaper all inclusives are not usually very good). Check out accomodation reviews before booking anywhere. ( on tripadvisor or holidays-uncovered )0
