Any one insured car with Elephant? - Are they ok ?

Options
Hi,
Just had quote for my car insurance from Elephant and it is just so cheap compared to everyone else (I am only 18). I have been over and over the details with them and everything seems correct - what is the catch - are they ok?

Thank you

Is it for 12 months or 10 months? They have a 10 month plan and that could account for the difference compared to a 12 month one.

They are part of the same group as Admiral.

Havent had to make a claim, like all companies if you need to make a claim then you will figure out if they are ok! Prob. best not to read reviews relating to Elephant, lots of angry people...
  • i was with them for two years. when my ex smashed my windscreen i phoned and had a man come out the same day. never had to claim from them for anything more serious though.

as other poster says check the 10 month / 12 month thingy. can't remember why but 12 months was best for me.

when i cancelled they sent my no claims out straight away (the only problem i had was our local sorting office burnt down  so i had to request another one!)
it's nice to be important but more important to be nice!! :kisses3:

Elephant are fine if you drive a standard vanilla (unmodified) car. Otherwise beware the Standard Parts Replacement Clause.

Also check what sort of voluntary excess they have added. They can sometimes put a hefty one into the quote to bring down the premium.

That said I have been with Elephant for several years and have found them to be competitive both on price (especially so when I was younger - they once undercut the nearest quote by more than £300!) and in terms of service. I have had to call them a couple of months ago when a neighbour hit my car, and they were brilliant & had my car booked in for repair the same day.
