HELP!!! with floam

please can someone help me.....
I have promised to make floam for the school fun day on Saturday, had a recipe off the net and bought required ingreidience (sp) which have set me back £30 but it doesent want to work
the gloop is just too weak.
its an us recipe and asks for 26oz of beads, weight wise i havent used anything near this amount, 2oz i weighed it to - ??? i dont know where im going wrong but its gonna be a expensive mistake
Does anyone have a recipe that is tried and tested?

Snowball from what I can see it may be that the glue you are using is too weak, have you tried the PVA you can buy from builders merchants? I think it cost us £5 for a gallon.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I bought the pvc glue from the builders as I happened to be in there getting something else!
I'm using bean bag beads, they are slightly bigger than i would have prefered but theres not much choice.
I'll have a look at the link at tother recipes to see if they gleen any light.
edit had a look think i'm adding too much of the borax mix. let youknow how i get on!
