Bank transfer from overseas buyer to ING UK.

I have a buyer from Germany who wants to pay by bank transfer but he is a bit funny so I am not happy to give him my natwest acc details.
I have accepted bank transfer from Germany and Austria before, they are very fast and all went well but I am not comfortable this time and I'd rather give him my ING acc coordinates as ING doesn't let any debit going out unless is to your own linked bank plus you can open an ING sub-account almost instantly for the purpose.
Does anybody know the IBAN / BIC of ING (UK, not BE) string?
I spent an hour on the internet but didn't find a definitive answer so far. I could work out most of the string but I can't find any ref to the ING BankCode (like BARC for Barclays for example)
Any idea?

I'm not sure you will find one as I think IBAN numbers relate to branches of a bank. I would give him your Natwest details - it is no more than anyone can see on a cheque. Germans use bank transfers much more than us so it is a common request.
There have been other threads on how to do these transfers so there are no charges so have a search for these. I think that they should send the equivalent in Euros with shared fees but check this. It is easy to end up with 8 or 10 pounds less than you expect arriving in your account if you are not careful.0 -
That's another issue, you are right: the euro/£ conversion
I normally get charged at least £1 for, say, a 15euro transfer from DE to UK (eu to £ at THEIR exchange rates) I am not sure this is because natwest sends me a letter everytime I get a payment this way... I suppose the letter in not free as getting sometimes 4 of those per week in the long run costs money to them.
I was hoping to find a way to get money straight to ING from those German buyers so I don't have to keep an eye on my banking every day... plus who sends what etc....
But, yes, they are heavy user of internet banking and the transfers normally appear on my bank acc within 48 hours, faster than bank-to-(different) bank here in theUK!*_*_* Department of Redundancy Department *_*_*0 -
Im not sure if you have already tried, but this may find it for you.

Your BIC + IBAN details can be found on your ING bank statement. It's an EU mandate that it's on all bank statement so as to facilitate cheap and easy cross-border bank transfers.
Please don't try to figure out your IBAN as it's unique to your ING bank account.
I found your BIC, which is most likely to be INGBGB22XXX, using the Bank Code portal on this page IBAN, BIC and SWIFT transfers explained which details how to use BIC + IBAN for free bank transfers within the EU/EEA.
However check your ING bank statement for the definative answer.
Hope this helps! :-)"Money is truthful. If a person speaks of their honour, make sure they pay in cash."0
