DLA timescales

in Disability money matters
Mum is currently on HRC and LRM, but we've asked for her to be reassessed on the mobility scale and have had a letter saying it's being considered and they'll be in touch when they've decided.
Any idea as to how long this takes?
Also she is up for renewal (not her personally, LOL) in August so when should we get the paperwork through?

    I've just aplied for my mobility to be looked at again and was told to expect an answere in about 48 days. How long from sending in the forms did you get this letter?

    As far as I know, you would actually not able to walk at all in order to get the higher mobility rate... and I heard asking the decision to be looked at could mean them lowering your current rates.

    Anyway, good luck.

    I used to get the renewal forms about 6 months before award ended. The last time it was 4 months - I sent them back within 2 weeks and received decision just under 8 weeks later.

    We put in for it for our child and it took 4 weeks!
