Hotel near Legoland

Hiya
I have been saving my Tesco Clubcard vouchers and want to take my son back to Legoland this year but I was thinking of staying overnight nearby so that we can also visit Windsor Castle.
Can anyone recommend a decent but cheapish hotel in the vicinity that preferably has parking?
I have found a Travelodge in central Windsor that has no parking on site but there is an NCP car park next door - anyone have any idea how much this would be overnight?
Thanks

Hi,
You could try this hotel in Reading. Its about 20 miles away but there is free parking and its only £10 plus tax for the night. There are still lots of dates left throughout the year. Its a bit far but i am combining it with a visit to,Windsor Castle, Legoland and an afternoon at the football. Have a good time. https://gc.synxis.com/xbe/rez.aspx?Chain=5303&start=0&hotel=11491&promo=10YEARS0 -

Hi we stayed at the Devere Ascot Hotel in August on their £10 a night special offer deal. It is only 15 minutes drive from Legoland. They only do the family rooms at weekends it seems. You have missed the recent £19 room sale for dates up until the end of April, but there might be others in future. Fri 16 and Sat 17 April is £39 per night for a family room. It has plenty of free parking. There is an outdoor heated swimming pool, but this is only open Mon-Friday, so if you arrived on the Friday like we did you could use it then (we had sole use). It also has nice grounds. Breakfast was a buffet style one and cost £7.50 per adult, they did not charge the kids when we went.

Just had a look on tripadvisor for info on The Windsor Travelodge, as often guests note parking near a hotel and according to one post (29/11/09) it is £20 per night, but TL customers pay £5 per night parking.

We stayed at Devere Wokefield Park which is a gorgeous hotel and we paid £40 for a double with a child's bed in the corner. Well worth it. Free parking and indoor heated pool.0

Slough is also an option. Several hotels in and around Slough (including a Travel lodge) and only a 3/4 miles from Legoland.0

Hiya
We stayed at the travelodge in windsor a couple of years ago when we went to legoland and are doing the same again this year. I can't remember how much the car parking was in the multi storey but it certainly wasn't £20, £8 sounds more familiar. When you drive out the car park you are literally five minutes from Legoland which is great.
The other thing that really helps save pennies is to use the Waitrose which you walk past from the car park to the Travelodge. I took a chopping board, sharp knife, sandwich bags, plastic bowls and cups with us. We bought food from Waitrose and made pack lunches and ate breakfast in our room. We also took our plug in coolbox that we use for camping. The children are happy with packed lunches and they are allowed an ice cream as a treat in the park. The only time we ate out was the last night as we were then driving home to Manchester. We ate at the pasta restaurant in the park and I wouldn't recommend it, over priced and poor. You would be better off finding a pub near by which is what we did when we went to Drayton Manor for the day.
Hope this helps someone.0 -

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in slough, which was about a 15 mins drive to windsor and lego land. There was a car park and off street parking if this was full. There is a link on this site which gives you family and friends rate or 2 for 1 for holiday Inns0

Another vote for the Devere Ascot. Staying there for the Legoland opening in March on one of their cheap room bargains.
Last time we had two rooms for £19 with interconnecting doors. Hoping for an upgrade this time round too.
Premier Lodge have a sale on for 2 nights for £58 at the moment too. Just booked Chessington in July.I want to be credit card and loan free by Christmas 20100
